Welcome to the Room 10, 2017!!
Kia ora Room 10 and well done on a fabulous first day for 2017. I am looking forward to getting to know you all better over this year and helping you achieve many successes along the way. Tomorrow I will be sending home a homework assignment for the children that will help us learn more about each other. This is called a Biobag or Biography bag. The children will be encouraged to share the items from their bag with the class and tell us the reasons why these items are special to them. Your homework for the first week will be to collect some items that will tell us more about you and your family. Please bring the items below and put them in a non-see-through bag. This is called a Biobag(biography) because it tells us all about you! You will need to start bringing them to school next week beginning Tuesday the 7th February.
Getting to know you homework assignment.
Locate and bring an item (or two) that represents your family’s heritage (Where your family comes from.)
Something that represents a hobby you have.
Something that tells us about a favourite family celebration.
Find something that represents a school subject you enjoy.
Please let me know if your child needs any help or support with this assignment.
